I’ve decided to video myself at the gym and in various exercises so that when I get to my goal weight I can look back upon my journey to remind myself just how out of shape I was, how far I’ve come and maybe to inspire others.

Working Out at the Gym
I never thought much about going to the gym to workout. I had this idea that only beautiful, plastic people worked out at the gym. I thought that maybe those beautiful people would laugh at me. There was always an excuse readily available to not go until my soon to be personal trainer walked through the door of my business. He offered to help me get into shape and I took the offer. Now I don’t really care if I look ridiculous. I know it’s short term and I’m creating healthy habits for the long term.

So if you are sitting at your computer thinking that you can’t go to a gym because it would be way too embarrassing, well it probably WILL BE, but you have to get over that. There are lots of overweight people (and yikes! fat girls and boys) at the gym working on the same common goal as you and I. You can do it, grab a buddy or find a gym partner and take the leap. You’ll thank your health once you do it!
