Yesterday my husband, daughter and I went Christmas shopping and as usual I found some great things for myself! Not very holiday like buying myself things, but I thought I’d share them with you. Here’s me and my daughter right before we left, hamming it up for the camera.

BPS Free Water Bottle
While we were at Target, I spotted a new BPS free water bottle. My old water bottle is okay, but I have to tip it to drink from it, it makes a very loud sucking sound (everyone at the gym stares at me when I drink from it LOL) and the last few ounces never want to come out. Plus I don’t think it’s BPS free.

So, when I spotted the Distinction Trudeau Cool Down Hydration Bottle, I was excited. It has a runner’s straw (which is soft and kind of chewy), holds 24 oz, and keeps liquids cold for up to two hours! Yay! I tried it last night and I love, love, love it. It also has a neat little clip where I can hook it to my belt or bike or wherever I want. Price: $9.99.

Digital Food Scale
We hit up the Kitchen Collection store looking for a simple hand mixer for my mom. It’s one of the few things she wants for Christmas this year, but I couldn’t find any at Wal-Mart believe it or not – only the expensive mixer and bowl combos.

We found her hand mixer finally, but I also found a new digital / electronic kitchen scale. This puppy features an LCD function, automatic shut off and is accurate! I weighed my chicken breast on it last night and I was happy I bought it. The color is a “little out there” but I’m okay with that because it works well. Much more sturdier than those flimsy metal scales. Price: $19.99.

George Foreman’s Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine
Earlier this week when we were at Wal-Mart looking for that ever elusive hand mixer my mom wanted, I seen all of the George Foreman Grilling Machines were on sale.

I love me a sale, and thought I could really use one. I opted for the largest size because it was only $10 more than the one half it’s size. I guess that’s where they get you, huh? Anyway, I’ve used it for hamburgers, turkey breast and chicken breast so far and I am very happy with it. It’s a huge step up from the smaller ones that came out 9-10 years ago. Sale Price: $49.99.

I buy myself as many treats as I do everyone else. :)

I’m planning to use my GF grill more in the coming year. That and the crockpot are my two favorite kitchen “tools.”

Have a great week!

ooohhh, I like my crock pot too. Perfect tool for the busy mom. :) You have a great week too!

Great products! Those will definitely help you out. :) I need to get myself a new water bottle soon, this post just reminded me, thanks!

I have a very similar bottle to that. I love it! I carry it around with me while I’m at home, and it helps me make sure I get enough water, because I fill it several times over the course of the day.

We have a George Foreman grill, too, but it’s still in storage from the move. I’ll get it out eventually!

I can’t tell you how much I like my new water bottle. Especially the rubbery straw. I seem to be drinking more from it too, so that’s a plus! :)

I love drinking from a straw too! I always drink more that way. It started when I was pregnant and I’ve kept up the habit. I love that water bottle.

Today my hubby and I were shopping (for other people) and I bought two shirts! What’s that all about? It was fun though.

So glad to have found your blog – your and your daughter look so cute!
